Donate today to support NSW Police Legacy and James' goal.
My name is James. I am a NSW Police Officer, and I intend on walking the length of the Grose River, NSW starting 25 July 2025 and raising money for NSW Police Legacy whilst taking on this challenge.
I have been in the NSW Police Force for 15 years. My life in policing changed when I was involved in a critical incident in which Detective Inspector Bryson Anderson lost his life. I quickly became aware how this affected Bryson’s immediate and greater family, friends and work mates. I have since met with the Anderson family at various events and can see the growth in Donna and Bryson’s children. I am still amazed at how amazing Donna Anderson is in raising her family through such adversity and can never forget the overwhelming support the family received through the NSW Police, their family, friends and the community.

After this, I moved into a policing role which allowed me to be there for my family. My wife and I have put a large emphasis on outdoor adventures. As parents we are so proud that our sons are now leading their own multi-day hikes and when they come home, we sit and listen to all their adventures.

The Grose River is located within ‘Declared Wilderness’ and makes up part of our ‘World Heritage’ status. The walk will be challenging and there is no trail so I will follow the river and the gravity it has to offer.
I want to raise funds for NSW Police Legacy to support Police families and provide positive experiences for those people much like what my wife and I have provided for our children. Donate today to support my efforts.
